Away Notes:
Seattle Prep got on the board first, one from #10 Arthur Stacey assisted by #13 Peter Christiansen. Northshore answered twice; a goal from Jake Dossett assisted by Scott Barclay, and a goal by Taylor Wisman assisted by Jake Dossett. Foster Wisman was chasing and got called for a trip on a fast break clear. SP evened it up for the last time of the day on an EMO goal by Christiansen on a feed from #5 David Schoettler. Taylor Wisman and Bowen Hadley worked together to get 2 more goals, to put Northshore ahead 4-2 to end the first quarter.

The 2nd quarter saw 2 goals for each side. SP’s Schoettler scored twice, and NS Foster Wisman and Jake Dossett one each, all unassisted. First half ends 6-4 in favor of Northshore.

The 3rd quarter was a back and forth shootout with 4 goals for each side, no one player having more than one. Scores were by NS Taylor Wisman, Foster Wisman, Jake Dossett, Bowen Hadley; for SP it was #21 Conor Carroll, #2 Nick Mecham, Christiansen, and #7 Ryen Bartlett. End of third quarter we are at 10-8 Northshore.

The 4th quarter continued the see-saw battle, all the way to the end. Scores went SP Christiansen, NS Foster Wisman on a feed from Jake Dossett, SP Nich Mecham, NS Jacob Field on a great solo effort, and SP Nick Mecham on a feed from Arthur Stacey. NS Taylor Wisman took control of the ball and ran the clock down. Northshore wins 12-11.

Defense was tough on both ends all day. Chris Lee, Willy Simpson and Alex Walker worked hard to shut off the SP attackmen. Miles Sokol, Robert DeLisle and Foster Wisman traded duty keeping SP’s middie Schoettler from winding up. On the SP end, any dropped pass was quickly dispatched by #18 AJ Wilkens or #19 Charlie Motzer. Mostly quality shots on goal, with SP keeper Dom Angelo stopping 12 and NS netminder Stuart Dransfield repelling 15.

So sad to see Seniors Chris Lee and Michael Thompson play their final games for Northshore. Our two other seniors Bo Sellman and Austin Sleder contributed to the hard-fought season, but missed today due to injuries. We managed to extend the fun 4 more games after the regular season. What a nice way to go out, on top as 2008 Division II State Champs!!

Thanks for a great game Seattle Prep.
